Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 16, 2026

Lume is a media player. It ships with no channels, streams, or content — you bring your own Xtream Codes credentials or M3U playlist from a provider you are entitled to use. We designed Lume to keep your data on your device and under your control.

What we store on your device

Your playlist credentials, favorites, watch history, watch progress, and app settings are stored locally on your device. We do not operate accounts and we do not have a server that receives this data.

iCloud sync

If you enable Watch Progress sync (Lume Pro), your progress and related preferences are stored in your own private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. This data is end-to-end managed by Apple and is not accessible to us.

Third-party metadata services

To enrich Movies and Series with artwork, cast, trailers, and ratings, Lume can query third-party services such as TMDB and OMDb, and — if you connect it — Trakt for scrobbling. These requests may include the title you are viewing. Each service has its own privacy policy. Metadata enrichment is optional and can be disabled in Settings.

Streaming providers

When you play content, your device connects directly to the IPTV provider whose playlist or Xtream Codes credentials you supplied. Lume does not proxy or inspect that traffic. Your relationship with that provider is governed by their terms and privacy policy.

Analytics & tracking

Lume does not include third-party advertising SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites.
